- Matt met Trail Angel Ken between Milford and Batavia and confirmed that hikers can stay on his property. There's a bench and a small area cleared for tent camping.
Indiana - South
Segment 8๐๐บ๏ธ ๐
- Church identified, though possible services are unknown.
- Removed a detour on the Knobstone Trail that avoided logging work.
- Improved instructions on accessing the Knobstone Trail from Winding Road/Beech Road. The two don't actually connect, but you can see the trail from the road and we show you where to start looking.
Segment 7 ๐ ๐
- Additional services in Corydon to include a Bagel shop with hot coffee, and flush toilets and electricity at the Farmer's Market grounds.
- Updated services in New Middletown. The town's lone convenience store has closed, but a new "Dollar General with produce and a nice bathroom" is now open. So it's a Win!
- We added a church north of New Albany that Matt I.D.ed as "one of the few spots to sit in a while."
- Christian Assembly Church in south New Albany added with contact information.
- We've added the locations of four churches in and around New Middletown, most with contact information. We are also working on tracking down contact information and services available.
- We added a new bar on the riverfront - The Rustic Frog. Matt said, "I kind of wish Iโd tried contacting the Rustic Frog to see if they would let me (camp) out back just for the novelty factor."
Segment 6 ๐๐บ๏ธ ๐
- A portion of the Adventure Hiking Trail in O'Bannon State Forest has recently been relocated. We have added the new track and water locations and removed one of the shelters that has been demolished. Thanks to Matt for the heads-up on all of this.
- We have also added the detour around a logging closure.
Segment 5๐ ๐
- Updates and additional services for Alton.

Segment 1 ๐ ๐
- Mike Crowley updated services in Garrison.
- Mike also reported that this year, he has had little success resupply mail drop through the US Postal Service. "I've called ahead to post offices ahead of me where I might need to send resupply boxes to see if they accept deliveries from UPS, FedEx, Amazon. Most of them do. I'm not using USPS for a box ever again. A 33% failure rate is pretty bad. "

Congratulations to John Moschetti, the youngest hiker on the American Discovery Trail this year! John has been making significant strides on the trail and in his efforts to support Alex's Lemonade Stand. Last week, his fundraising walk supporting children and families impacted by pediatric cancer surpassed an impressive milestone, crossing the $5,000 mark!
Keep up the fantastic work, John!
